Dan Edenhofer
Principal Software Engineer

Dan Edenhofer is a Principal Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the software industry. He has spent time as both a technical leader as well as an engineering manager over that period for companies such as Viewpoint Systems, Lockheed Martin, Amazon Web Services, Compass, and now Valerian Technology.

Dan applies a heavy focus on architecture and design, crafting real-world solutions that are performant and stable whether you have 1000 users or 100,000. At Lockheed Martin, Dan was a member of the Shark Tank organization as well as the Combat Edge R&D team. Both groups provided solutions using emerging technologies with the end customer in mind, reviewed by high ranking military officers as well as LM executives. While at AWS, Dan was an early member of the EBS (Elastic Block Store) Server team, which developed scalable, easy-to-use and highly performant blob storage for cloud customers and the backbone of one of AWS’ most successful offerings (EC2). At Compass, Dan was a founding member of the Network Automation team (which successfully re-architected and standardized the networking layer of the Compass platform) and later became the engineering manager for the Foundational Infrastructure sub-org (who owned and maintained the core infrastructure making up the Compass technology stack).
